So, we’re all packed and about to hit the road towards Challenge No. 5 – The Three Peaks Challenge. We’re making our way to Fort William today, via Birmingham to hook up with Dom’s uni mates Den & Nic, before we scale Ben Nevis (1,344m) in Scotland tomorrow, Scafell Pike (989m) in England on Friday and then Mount Snowdon (1085m) in Wales on Saturday.
The weather forecast is (so far) looking brighter than for London over the next couple of days (which is currently feeling a little wintery), so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for no rain as we enjoy a few days off climbing mountains in some beautiful areas of the UK!
Thanks to everyone for the recent support and some very generous donations – if anyone else wants to help us to help the Coronary Care Unit at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, then please donate through our justgiving page: http://www.justgiving.com/helpinghearts2013
And, once we’ve returned and the blisters have healed we will be finalising the plans for cycling to Paris w/c 8th July so for those of you that have shown inklings of interest, please have a think over the next few days and let us know early next week if you’re IN! June will be spent getting accustomed to our bike saddle including using the London to Brighton cycle ride on Sunday 16th June as a training ride.
We will also be organising Challenge No. 8 – our cross country trek along Hadrian’s wall w/c 19th August so let us know if you’re keen to join us for all or some of this.
That’s it for now, stay tuned to hear how we get on!
