Ok, it’s the Iceman tomorrow. Feeling nervy. Battered old trainers – check. Snow shoes – check. New running tights that I can barely get over my thighs and backside – check.
We’ve done the training, we’re carb-loaded and feeling fairly good, but I’ve no idea what tomorrow will bring. Will I get breakfast right so I don’t feel I need to throw up 15 minutes into the race? Will the snow and ice let up so it’s actually a decent run? How many ruddy hills are we going to be faced with? And will Cozzie’s directions actually get us there in the first place?! We’ll know this time tomorrow. Wish us luck, everyone. Time for beddy-byes.
